Physical NOT social distancing
Let’s stay apart and help #FlattenTheCurve. Here are the cool ways we, and others, are doing just that.
Team meetings with Zoom

At c+p we’ve always been a big user of Zoom. Since many on our team work outside Toronto (with a few on other continents) we are masters at the video conference.
We actually do a 15-minute video chat every workday morning to unblock and avoid filling our inboxes with unnecessary email back and forths. We adopted this morning standup as part of an agile style of project management called Kanban. (If you don’t know about Kanban, you can read about how we use it here in our Guide to Content Audits using Kanban.)
Oh and when a unicorn shows up (aka Jovian Alvares) on the team meeting, you KNOW it’s going to be a good day!
And for you vain ones out there, zoom has different filters you can use. Or buy a halo light (there’s a ton on amazon) to blur away all the stress lines you’re getting from these stressful times.
Or switch up your background (and hide that messy kitchen counter) with West Elm’s free virtual backgrounds. Hilarious!
Virtual Happy Hour with your friends on Zoom
Do this if you haven’t. Get on video chat, and blow off a bit of steam with your work colleagues at least once a week.
And speaking of drinking…the ‘box’ is back

Be economical and always have some anxiety reducing beverage on hand by investing in the much maligned, but ever so abundant, box of table wine. By buying a box, you won’t have to make as many unnecessary trips out of the house. And trust us, there’s something comforting knowing there’s always some wine on tap, if needed.
Try out the Houseparty app
If you haven’t downloaded this popular app, do it now. Then connect with friends and family. Then, plan a games night. You can play games like Heads up!, Trivia, and Quick Draw!

Stay safe, friends!
