Has your webinar/bootcamp/masterclass stopped working as effectively as it once did?
Why? What has changed?
These days people are stretched on a number of levels.
Nobody has the bandwidth to come to five or six hours of you telling them why you are the solution and thinly-veiled self-congratulatory sequences.
People ALSO don’t have the headspace to process a whole lot of information.
And they certainly don’t have the budgets to come to the things that you’re trying to qualify, which is likely a five or six-figure service package 🤷♀️
If that’s not going to work, what can you do instead?
Start from the root – what’s the reason you were running those webinars or masterclasses in the first place?
It’s probably lead generation.
You’d ask someone to sign up in order to get their email, because you plan to use the email to send them an offer for something you’re selling.
It’s your basic lead generation tactic 🤦♀️
Instead, in 2022 I’d say you want to be thinking about things from a demand generation perspective.
Offer teaching.
Principles.
Thought leadership.
And align that to your key pillars of messaging for integrity.
And you let the people come to you.
That’s what you call an inbound funnel.
But how, you ask
Deploy it via a podcast.
Extra points if you figure out a way to do it by collaborating with a group of stakeholders in a panel format. Bringing together three to four people who share a common audience is a really excellent idea whether it’s for small businesses, or whether it’s to break down silos within larger businesses.
I do firmly believe that you should be replacing your extended webinar format with this because takes a while to be able to put together and deploy a webinar. Now that you’ve already done it a few times, really think about how to repurpose it in a podcast format.
That’s the path to moving a defunct lead generation content property into a source of content to generate demand for your brand; with a lot less effort.
